Default South Africa vs Ireland in Wet and Windy Dublin

This weekend the Boks will be playing against Ireland in Dublin. The weather forecast predicts wet and windy weather.

Being a South African myself, I know just how difficult it must be for the Boks to really get into the groove of things in such weather. We are used to hot and dry conditions most of the time.

Wet and windy is not exactly counting in the Boks favour here.

My prediction is that the Boks will win, but it will be a very difficult match. Ireland will be difficult to beat as it is on their home turf, with thousands of Irish supporting them. Irish supporters are very passionate, and I think that will give the Irish players the mental bonus to be very tough opponents, if not winning the match in the end.

The Boks will win, but not with more than 8 points.

What do you think?

Well, we won. Tough game though obviously. Not wet and windy in the end but about 0 degrees and with thick, freezing fog rolling in from the sea it wasn't exactly ideal playing conditions. Have to say, although I nearly froze to death up in the stands, I was quite pleased

lol what rugby supporters will not endure just to watch rugby...

I read that the Irish counted their lineouts in Afrikaans, which baffled the Boks quite a bit.

The Boks struggled with their lineouts and it was obvious that Victor and the other guys were not prepared to actually curb that in the match.

I suggest they should try counting in one of the other 10 official languages, and see if the Irish can beat that. lol

I am somewhat disappointed though. I missed the match and only read about it afterwards. I went camping with some friends and escaped the stressful life for just 3 days.

The freezing conditions did definitely affect the Boks performance. I believe that temperatures went below 0? That is just amazing actually. Temperatures in SA rarely or simply never goes below 0.

Congrats to your team though, they played very well and deserve the victory.
