Byrne rejects Super 14 teams
Ospreys full-back Lee Byrne has reportedly rejected lucrative offers from two Super 14 outfits so that he can stay in Wales.
Byrne impressed on the British and Irish Lions recent tour of South Africa and was reportedly the subject of bids from the Sharks and Stormers.
"Lee was flattered by this South African approach but made it clear he's very happy with the Ospreys," a source close to Byrne told the Western Mail.
"He believes he has a lot to achieve still with the Ospreys and Wales and will return from the Lions tour determined to do that next season."
Sharks hope to sign Stade Francais and Argentina playmaker Juan Martin Hernandez after failing to land Byrne.
