Kelt Capital Magpies assistant coach Tom Coventry said watching Taradale prop Allen go on the rampage was one of his highlights in the Hawke's Bay XV's 90-0 drubbing of Poverty Bay in wet and muddy conditions in Gisborne yesterday.
``Jodi scored the first try and made the most of his visit home,' said Coventry.
Allen, 20, has been in Hawke's Bay since 2007. He had a brief stint in the Magpies squad last year and his form with the Hawke's Bay Academy side earlier this year, in club play to date this season and yesterday suggests he is hungry for more.
