Despite no Aussie team winning last week there were still six Australians who featured in the team of the week. Waratahs' Benn Robinson was joined by Brumbies' duo Ben Alexander and Stephen Moore while Nathan Sharpe, David Pocock and Matt Giteau of the Force also made it. There were three Highlanders Adam Thomson, George Naoupu and Israel Dagg.
While the Chiefs were the big points scorers only two of their side featured. Not surprisingly Sitiveni Sivivatu was one of them after he scored four tries against the Blues and centre Callum Bruce was the other. Sharks scrumhalf Rory Kockott made it yet again while the Blues had Ali Williams and Anthony Tuitavake included. Great to see a Lions player in there this week as well. Louis Ludik played well against the Brumbies in Johannesburg and deserved his spot. Adam Thomson returned the best score, a whopping 58 which was four more than Sitiveni Sivivatu. Pick of the Aussies was Brumbies' hooker Stephen Moore with 40.
