The NSW Waratahs are defending a 10-match home unbeaten streak in Saturday night’s Grand Final replay from ’08, but will be bidding to continue the run at a new venue as Super Rugby debuts at the Olympic Stadium.
The Crusaders might have dominated their overall relationship with the Waratahs – having won 11 of the 15 matches played – but matters have always been a lot closer in Sydney, where the two sides have evenly shared the six previous matches between them. The close nature of the rivalry has also been reflected by the winning margins, with nine of the 15 contests being determined by outcomes of 12 points or less.
