Malcolm Changleng has decided to stand down from full-time refereeing to return to a career in teaching.
Changleng, 38, became a professional referee with Scottish Rugby in 2002, and the highlight of his six years was when he controlled his first full Test match, between South Africa and Samoa, at Ellis Park, Johannesburg last summer.
Changleng has refereed 16 Heineken Cup matches, the Under-19 World Cup in Paris; the Under-21 World Cup in Mendoza, Argentina and on the IRB sevens circuit in tournaments in Dubai, Cape Town and Hong Kong, officiating there in the Sevens World Cup in 2005.
