Both Glasgow and Edinburgh enjoyed Heineken Cup victories today.
Glasgow’s 18-15 success over Viadana in Italy keeps their hopes of qualification for the knockout stages alive, albeit they failed to garner a try bonus point which would have aided their cause.
At Murrayfield, Edinburgh defeated last year’s runners-up Leicester Tigers 17-12 with a rousing display.
Glasgow’s points against Viadana came from tries by flanker Kelly Brown and full-back Bernardo Stortoni. Stand-off Dan Parks, on his 100th game for the Warriors, kicked two penalties and a conversion.
Back home, Edinburgh came from behind to all but quash Leicester’s hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages and gain revenge for their defeat at Welford Road earlier in Pool 6.
