Robinson Praises Rennie
Andy Robinson heaped lavish praise on Edinburgh youngster Ross Rennie he scooped the man-of-the-match accolade after the 27-17 win over Llanelli Scarlets at Murrayfield but revealed the 21-year-old back rower is still learning the ropes.
Rennie’s mobility, ball-carrying and tenacity at the break-down played a pivotal role in ensuring Robinson chalked up his first victory at The Castle.
Both Andrew Maxwell and Nick De Luca scored breathtaking tries, but Rennie stole the show and Robinson was quick to highlight the openside flanker’s contribution.
Robinson said: “Ross is going well. He is still a work in progress and he has got to do the things he is doing.
“But at the moment I’m pleased with him and I thought he did very well today. There is still a long way to go for him. He has just got to keep on making the steps he is making.”
