And it won't come until the Reds can make the public forget about one humiliating number: 92.
For nine months the former provincial powerhouses have lived with the bitter taste of a final-round 92-3 capitulation to the Bulls, who used the Pretoria massacre as a springboard to the Super 14 title.
So, with the old adage `you're only as good as your last game' in mind, the 2008 kick-off can't come soon enough for Queensland.
The only way may be up for the battling Reds after hitting rock bottom in 2007 with the record defeat but they know they owe loyal fans more.
