Still two weeks out from the game, head coach Ewen McKenzie has finalised a 28-man squad featuring 10 HSBC Junior Waratahs and Queensland recruit Ben Mowen as captain.
"Ben Mowen has been outstanding in training while Tahu needs game time," McKenzie said.
"The trials are a good opportunity to look at combinations and positions within the team.
"Halfback is an example, Josh Valentine and Brett Sheehan will both play against the Reds while Luke Burgess is not far away.
"Our younger forwards will also be tested against a more senior Queensland pack."
