All I can say is remember to follow through as the ball goes much further with less effort.

The drop goal is ALL about the drop. The ball needs to land directly on its point or it can go anywhere, I've had a couple of embarrassing kicks when rushed, but when you've got time focus on the drop, I've got ones in matches that for some reason I'd never get in training.
