Default repair old leather rugby ball

hi everyone,

this is my first post here, i really hope that somebody will be able to help me.

I've got this old leather rugby ball (photo below). It's losing air and I believe that the bladder has a leak. Best idea I think would be to replace bladder.

So here are my questions:

1. I can't find the part of the seams where the ball was turned during the stitching process, i.e. the preferred place for opening it up. Does anyone know how that used to be done? Any general advice on opening rugby ball and sewing them back together will be very much appreciated!

2. Where could I get a replacement bladder from? Just buy a cheap ball and use that?

3. How about those "Ball doctors" etc, sprays that are supposed to close small holes in a ball? Anyone ever used that on a rugby?

Again, any advice will be very much appreciated!!

Regards

Max
