Default ruck

i have noticed recently that scrum halves will touch the ball which is at the back of a ruck, let it go, touch it again before picking it up and passing. i thought that once the scrum half's hands were on the ball it was considered out and available for the oppoaition to play it. There have been a few occasions where the ball has actually been moved forwards prior to the pass being made. Is this an attempt to catch opposition forwards offside or not?

I dont think they are allowed to dummy it are they though im niot quite sure.

Another pet hate of mine is when a scrum is collapsing or being disrupted the scrum half with the put in is getting ready to take the quick tap penalty before the ref has decided who is to be penalised if at all anybody Its a if they are trying to sway the ref into giving the penalty for their team.Noticed this a lot at the world cup.

Donty teven get mestarted on crooked feeds into the scrum that has become a complete joke

Ya man teams try that all the time in my leauge all they do is tap it or fake it to get you offside aqnd if the reff pretends not to notice or isnt paying attention we all get screwed its not fair but life isnt fair so do what i do just kill the dumb scrum eith way cuz ull get a penalty anyway and if hes not paying attention maybe hell call it in your favor anyway
