Doing a project on rugby boots need your peoples answers, opinions and help
Doing a project on rugby boots (or cleats) mainly targeting players playing forwards. so i'l be needing all you guys help.
as im from england our season is pretty much wet/muddy so pretty much of the forwards will be wearing 18mm/21mm studing to get most grip on the field.
the help i need is...
1. What studs do the forward players wear in higher climates such as SA and Australia to get the most grip in scrums ect. as they wont be wearing long 21mm studs on dry ground.
2. Is are there any downfalls of wearing screw in studs like they fall of during play and loosing that vital grip on field, you cant change them during play as it take too long...ect stuff like that.
think of anything or problem that you think or have had happened involving your boots/studs
even better if you can think of ideas to improve the studs.
In hotter climates the studs are shorter and sometime are made of rubber to get more grip on the hard ground. And there's no disadvantage that I can think of to wearing screw-in studs, just screw them on tight
