it was a fantastic game with an awful ending for the Irish fan

Shame it was John Hayes stuck out there in the backline like that, he had no chance especially after 78 minutes of gruelling rugby

Brian O'Driscoll was sorely missed I believe, and the selection of both Dempsey and Murphy was poor, Trimble should have started at outside centre, a position he plays for his province, unlike Horgan who is a winger at Leinster (currently) and D'Arcy who plays 12 not 13, there is a huge difference between 12 and 13 and it showed in D'Arcy's defencive play
btw what a stadium and atmosphere

Once again Ireland have failed to live up to their pre tournament hype.I thought they were fairly lucky to beat wales and have already come unstuck to the french.Imense pressure on them now to beat england.

To be honest I think we work better as an underdog team

However I must say that Eddie O'Sullivan has not picked his players on form, what about Neil Best, he is everything Irish Rugby has been looking for yet he's made to sit on the bench. However I do feel that with France's current halfback pairing they are a huge force to be reckoned with!

They didnt miss me at all. They played their hearts out. They let their guard down after that final penalty then France got the bounce then got it wide for Clerc to touch down. Heart breaking. It was amazing atmosphere in Croker. i also agree although Simon is a great no6 but i also think he isnt at top form like Neil.
