I think the Magners league will get a lot better over the next few seasons with the introduction of the play off system at the and of each season.Many of the games have been dead rubber matches with many teams particularly the bigger sides like munster leinster ospreys, blues fielding weakened lineups.

A lot of pundits knock the magners league,especially the english media,but the bulk of the lions squad returning from south africa were welsh and irish players from the Magners.This years european cup champs were leinster from the magners.The edf cup champs were the cardiff blues from the Magners.Since 2005 wales have 2 grandslams and ireland one all with almost all players from the magners league.Just something for the knockers to think about

Yeah I think finally the pundits may have to keep their mouths shut about the whole magners league debate. Looking at the success of the likes of Leinster, Munster, Cardiff, Edinburgh etc and the fact that it is magners players who are filling out the best international teams in the Northern hemisphere and with the Lions etc. Also think about the fact that last season both Dougie Howlett and Rocky Elsom [Among others] were playing in Ireland alone! And I agree, I think the new system will attract a lot more interest for the competition, although the top 3 last season were fairly tight it will be much better if teams have a chance of getting into a last 4 situation, it will allow much more room for the lower tier teams to move up the board, especially when teams like the aforementioned Leinster, Munster, Cardiff and Edinburgh may still have their eyes on European glory. Can't wait now! So close!

Dont forget the arrival of a certain Mr Jerry Collins to the Ospreys.It will be intresting to see how Edinburugh go after losing Andy Robinson to Scotland.We have them first and dont have any of our lions playing so this could be difficult one for us,also we have had a terrible pre season losing both our two games.Still we should have enough in the locker to beat Edinburugh.

To be honest I'd rate the Blues above Edinburgh, don't get me wrong, Edinburgh are a good side, but I still think Cardiff are the stronger team. And I'm not sure Andy Robinson is a huge loss really, time will tell I suppose.

In all fairness andy Robinson did turn edinburugh into a competitive outfit in a fairly short space of time.

Well I think they had the players anyway, I just think that he's hyped up to be better then he is... Plus the dude's all talk...
