The former Great Britain international has signed for the remainder of the 2009 engage Super League season. Carney will join Wolves at the end of June as his commitments to the Irish Rugby Union come to completion. Carney represented Great Britain 14 times between 2003 and 2006, very often on the outside of former Wolves centre Martin Gleeson. Carney scored eight tries for his country.
