THE OSPREYS made history for all the wrong reasons in Coventry on Saturday as they failed to score a point in a match for the first time since their inception in 2003.
Never before in their six-year existence had they drawn a blank. But, in what was their 180th fixture as a region, they reached that unwanted milestone. What’s extraordinary is that it should happen in a game which they totally dominated for an hour.
For a side blessed with such outrageous individual talent to have so much of the play, yet end up pointless, takes some doing.
Yet that’s precisely what the so-called Galacticos achieved as their reign as Anglo-Welsh champions came to an end in the most infuriating and frustrating fashion. It really was a case of what a difference a year makes.
