AFTER Leicester’s win on Saturday, Gloucester failed to regain top spot in the Guinness Premiership through a combination of stubborn defence by second-from-bottom Worcester Warriors and wasted opportunities by the Cherry & Whites.
Warriors won 14-10, their points coming from two players with strong Gloucester links. Old boy Marcel Garvey scored a try while on loan Willie Walker, who could yet play a part in the play-off campaign, kicked three penalties.
Akapusi Qera pinched Andy Hazell’s No 7 shirt in the starting line-up, having scored when he came off the bench against Wasps, his first outing for nine months. Worcester-born forward Luke Narraway replaced injured skipper Gareth Delve, who has an eye injury.
