Top-rated teenagers Sam Tomkins and Shaun Ainscough scored two tries apiece as Wigan powered to a morale-boosting 38-12 engage Super League win at Salford.
Stand-off Tomkins showed pace and real star quality with two long-range touchdowns while fellow 19-year-old Ainscough was not to be outdone.
Thomas Leuluai also grabbed a brace while Pat Richards touched down once and kicked five goals to prolong struggling Salford's miserable start to the campaign.
Salford could at least celebrate the performance of their own potential star in 18-year-old Richard Myler, who claimed both the hosts' tries.
