Default France 22-9 England

Quote:
France 22 (12)
Try: Jauzion
Con: Elissalde
Pens: Elissalde 4, Michalak

England 9 (3)
Pens: Wilkinson 3

England's dismal away form continued as they suffered a defeat to France in Marseille in their final warm-up game before the World Cup.

A bruising and physical first half saw France take a 12-3 lead with four Jean-Baptiste Elissalde penalties.

They extended the lead when Yannick Jauzion scored a well-worked try while a limited England could only muster three Jonny Wilkinson penalties.

Skipper Phil Vickery and Martin Corry both came off injured.

England have only won once in their last 16 away matches and only three times on the road since winning the World Cup in 2003.

And the result leaves head coach Brian Ashton with plenty to think about ahead of England's opening World Cup game against the USA on 8 September.
A bad result for us for our final game before the WorldCup.

Thoughts?

I saw the first half and i thought it was a really dissapointing game, i would say the overall scoreline reflects how the teams played. But i have to say France have dissapointed me with their performances recently, they definetely wont get to the semis playing like that.
