Hull Kingston Rovers have appointed Paul Blanchard as their new chief executive.
The 42-year-old will move from his position as sales and marketing director at Surrey County Cricket Club before the end of July to succeed Paul Lakin, who is joining Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.
Blanchard was marketing director at both the Scottish Premier League and Southampton before being headhunted in 2004 by Surrey, where he was credited with the commercial success of the development of the Brit Oval.
