PARRAMATTA winger Eric Grothe always thought he was something of an expert on migraines - until he started seeing that Cheshire cat from Alice In Wonderland.
Eels staff have confirmed Grothe will undergo a series of medical tests to determine the severity of a concussion suffered against Penrith at CUA Stadium last Saturday night.
The Eels superstar was replaced at the break, dosed up on pethidine and kept overnight for analysis at The Hills Private Hospital.
But Grothe has revealed the real highlights package began shortly after being accidentally whacked late in the first half: "Oh, mate, in the sheds I was seeing things, talking s..., the lot," he laughed.
"Remember that striped cat from the movie Alice In Wonderland? Well, I saw it in the dressing sheds. Honestly. A couple of times too.
"And then later on I was talking to Ben Smith, asking him why he wasn't playing even though I knew he was out injured. I've always suffered from migraines and had a few concussions. But nothing like that."
