Australia’s new coaching co-ordinator Tony McGahan believes he can help the Wallabies become even more competitive.

The 37-year-old was recently appointed as the right-hand man of Australia's head coach Robbie Deans after spending seven years in charge of two-time Heineken Cup champions Munster.

He guided Munster to glory in European’s premier competition in the 2005-06 and 2007-08 seasons as well as to Celtic League success in 2008-09 and 2010-11.

Brad Thorn thinks Ireland can defy sports betting odds and shock New Zealand when the All Blacks host a three-Test series between the two teams.

The 37-year-old moved from Japanese side Fukuoka Sanix Blues to Leinster in March and has been very impressed with the Heineken Cup finalists.

Ireland have never beaten the All Blacks in a Test but World Cup winner Thorn thinks they may never have a better chance of ending that record than this summer.

The International Rugby Board has confirmed that the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England will start on 18th September with the final taking place at Twickenham on 31st October.

The announcement should inspire a flurry of activity from those who like to bet on sport.

The Queensland Reds are to welcome back Quade Cooper, described by coach, Ewen McKenzie, as having the "X Factor", in one of two boot-camp auditions he will face to convince the judges he merits his Wallabies shirt in June's internationals.
