The British Lions will embark on their tour of Australia in the summer of 2013, hoping to at least emulate the 2-1 test match victory achieved in 1989, when the side was led by Head Coach, Sir Ian McGeechan and captained by Gavin Hastings.

The last time the Lions went "Down Under" was in 2001, when coached by New Zealander, Graham Henry, they lost that series however by 2-1, having gone into a 1-0 lead in the first test and the British Lions odds will reflect a similar outcome...

The two principle betting markets, the Grand Final Winner and the Regular Season title in this season’s Aviva Premiership both have defending champions Saracens as the team most liekly to win both; this, despite the fact that Harlequins have led the table from the outset of the season.

Since losing in what was a shock result to Italy in the Six Nations earlier this year, French coach, Marc Lievremont, despite being heavily criticised at the time has guided ‘Les Bleus’ to three successive victories. Those wins have put the team back on track after the 2010 Six Nations Grand Slam champions lost to both England and then Italy in this year’s tournament. It would now appear that they will go to New Zealand in good form, well organised and with a game plan that can take them deep into...

In a move that should have been expected, the South African rugby team have confirmed that their teams for their away games against both Australia and New Zealand later this month in the annual Tri Nations tournament will be made up from ‘second stringers’.

This move of course is all to do with their Rugby World Cup which takes place in New Zealand just a fortnight after the Tri Nations concludes and although the SARFU has not apologised for their action it makes absolute sense for...
