I believe 'Pure Aussie' is suffering from that all too common Antipodean complaint, 'sporting myopia'. I'm not too sure about the fixation with dog's bottoms', but I'd say that there may have been one or two Victoria Bitters consumed before his ill-advised post, way back in September.
Facts remain - England are better than Australia at Rugby Union. All the bluff from their staff and ex-players, just confirms to me that they were scared, frightened of losing, panic-stricken at the thought of being found out. The French result confirms also, that the AB's were scared rigid of losing. Makes you wonder about the mettel of these nations down there. At lest the volcano nations did themselves proud.
England's powerful display at the scrum, masterful showing at the breakdown and strength of will in denying the Aussie's any time or width, say's more about the sporting psyche of the two teams than the tactics and strategies that Ashton/Henry and their coaching staffs have been busily importing into the players' heads.
That desire to win came from the the bad press the England lads received before the game and the now all to familiar Aussie coaching staff, current and ex-players, sledge gambits, (which is now pretty essential towards successfully beating the Custard Shirts).
Afterall, we didn't become a Great and Magnificent Colonial Power, by letting small and insignificant little peoples get the better of us..! What what!
ps, goodbye and good riddance to George Gregan - you little runt, (think I've spelt that correctly).
