Poor old Trevor Brennan had his ban reduced. What Trevor did was wrong but it doesnt get away from the fact that there is a new breed of rugby fan out there, the type who never played in the game, were not schooled in the game and does not understand that rugby is a special game with a special spirit and an unwritten code of conduct. Basically these "fans" thinks its okay to shout personal abuse at players from touchlines. Trevor lost it when he heard what he thought was abuse being shouted at him. He may have been mistaken. The interesting thing about the incident is that involves a province (Ulster) who have garnered a bit of a reputation recently (in the professional era) for attracting fans who are less than charming and use offensive language on the terrace. The real Ulster fans are gentlemen.
